MEET THE NOMADS
THIS IS OUR
Welcome to our little space on the internet. The purpose of this website is to share our family’s journey with whomever it will inspire. We want to spread awareness about a condition my oldest daughter, Addison, suffered with for 5 years- PANS- Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Syndrome. We share tips and tricks for camper life. We share travel ideas and reviews. But most of all, we hope the story of our family selling 90% of our belongings to live in a camper and travel full time will inspire you to live your best life, no matter where you are at in life. One thing we have learned from Addison being sick for so long is that life is short and we are not promised tomorrow. Stop waiting for this crazy stage of life to end and live your life now. We know not everyone wants to live in a camper and travel, but no matter what your adventure looks like, we want to be a small piece of inspiring you to live it to the fullest.
We are a family of 5 traveling full time around the United States in our fifth wheel camper. Our names are Dub & Jessica, we have 3 kids: Addison is 13, Grace is 10, and TJ is 8. We hit the road in September 2020 and sold about 90% of our belongings for a simple life on the road. After our oldest daughter recovered from a serious 5 year long illness, we knew we weren’t living our best lives and decided to live each day with intention.
In September 2020, we decided to hit the road in a fifth wheel camper and travel. This decision came quickly after Addison’s doctor told us that she was in remission from PANS after completing 21 months of IVIG treatments and 5 years of being very sick. We realized the path we were on was wasting away our lives with busy schedules, just waiting for this stage or that stage to end so we could fully enjoy and live our lives. We decided to not wait, and live our life to the fullest. We started sharing about our journey on social media channels and realized very quickly how much the world not only needs inspiration to slow down and live life, but also awareness about PANS/PANDAS is very much needed.
We love our community that has grown alongside us, and we are so grateful you are here on this journey with us.
